Paralympics 2024: Becky Redfern wins first gold at third Games

Britain’s Becky Redfern made it third time lucky with gold in the SB13 100m breaststroke final in Paris.

Redfern, who is visually impaired, had finished second in the event at the past two Paralympics but is the current world world champion.

The 24-year-old, who is mum to four-year-old son Patrick, was a class apart, turning well ahead of her rivals and controlling it after that to win in one minute 16.02 seconds.
